Eric Alter
Executive Producer, Playwright, Founder
Eric Alter is the founder of Apricot Sky Productions. He also serves as the Artistic Director of the company. Eric began writing in 1999, where he put on his first evening of one-act plays, in April of 2000 entitled: Under the Apricot Sky, an evening of 6 one-one act plays which were performed at the Grove Street Theatre in Montclair, NJ. Since then, Eric has gone on to write 166 plays, which have been produced, published and performed all over the world. While mostly a one-act play writer, he has written 8 full length plays and 4 screenplays. In addition, Eric wrote his first TV pilot, called 180 Days, which was filmed in August, 2022. It featured a cast of seasoned and professional actors including: Conor Romero, Richard Klein, Arthur Nascarella, Tracey Wilder and Samantha Robinson. It was Directed By: Joe Benedetto. Most recently, his play: In Reverse Order, was turned into a short film. You can watch both on YouTube.
Eric has sold 38 plays to PLAYS! The Drama Magazine For Young People. He also has a play published in the Glencoe national textbook. He also optioned one of his plays to small indepdnant film company.Eric believes Apricot Sky Productions can serve as an outlet for new artists and directors to showcase their talent. He is very proud when he can introduce a new writer to the stage and see their words performed in front of a live audience. Eric has personally worked with hundreds of actors and directors over the years and values each and every one of them. He is currently working on another TV Pilot and turning his most recent play: Love, Lewis into a screenplay.

Mead Winters - Mead is very excited to be working with Apricot Sky Productions. Having directed with them last fall, Mead was proud to present: Jimmy, the Bully - All Grown Up (a show which had special meaning to him).
A recently retired Bilingual Elementary School Teacher from the Passaic School district after 30 years, Mead has been involved full time in theatre since he retired February 2022.
Mead's directorial and scenic design include Gemini by Albert Innaurato (June 2022) for which he was nominated as Best Director and Best Scenic Design in the Broadway World New Jersey Awards of 2022; God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza (December 2022); I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning - a murder mystery dinner theatre production at the former Franklin Steakhouse (March 2020) all at and through Nutley Little Theatre; Jimmy, the Bully, All Grown Up by Eric Alter at Apricot Sky Productions in Montclair (October 2022); and Across A Crowded Room by F.J. Hartland at Old Library Theatre's 12th One Act Festival (January 2023).
Mead's other talent includes recent acting credits since his retirement: Joseph Pinunziato / Father Rosalia in My Big Gay Italian Wedding; Spike in Yankee Stadium, June 1960 both performed at Old Library Theatre; Teddy Sunderson in Perfect Arrangement and Narrator in Moveable Feast both at Nutley Little Theatre and Radio Announcer in War of the Worlds, a Radio Show at The Barn Theatre. Mead would like to thank Eric and the Apricot Sky Production Company for the opportunity to continue his love of theatre by directing, working with, and participating in their productions.

bob lowy (IN memoriam)
Director
Bob has been active in live theatre for nearly 50 years having degrees in Acting and Directing and Theatre Education. He was a school teacher for 40 years before retiring in 2009. He has appeared Off-Off Broadway and in local theatre productions. Bob has Directed professionally for community theatre groups and specialized in large scale musicals. Most recently, he has been associated with "Murder to Go" creater of the Interactive Musical Murder Mystery. He has appeared in and Directed over 20 shows for them and has a lead role in their interactive feature film "Murder at Cafe Noir." He appeared in a promotional film for the Jespy house this past summer. When not involved in Acting and Directing, he enjoys being with his grandaughters, Justina and Jordyn. He and his wife, Sandy live in a log cabin on a lake in Morris County. Bob is thrilled to be part of Apricot Sky Productions, working with the talented members of his company. Sadly, Bob passed away in the summer of 2024. We at Apricot Sky suffered a great loss, and he and his contributions to the company will be missed greatly.

Hailing from Yorktown Virginia, Brooke Gorsica is a Multimedia designer local to metropolitan New Jersey. Brooke Gorsica achieved her Bachelor of Arts at George Mason University (Fairfax VA) in 2019 with a double minor in Film and Media Studies & Event Technology. Brooke has been working professionally in theater for seven years. She is currently serving on the board of directors for West Hudson Arts & Theater Company as the Technical Advisor for Media & Lighting. Some of her selected past lighting design work includes: Miracle on 34th St. (West Hudson Arts & Theater Company), A Collection of Original One Act Plays & Monologues 2019 (Apricot Sky), Rumors (West Hudson Arts & Theater Company), The Seagull (The Wheel Theatre Co.), Really Really (The Mason Players), Nobody Dies on Friday (Conscience Drama Directive), The Blind (D.C. Celeste M. Fasone is a former National award-winning television performer, interviewer and host of news, sports and entertainment shows for United Artists and several cable networks. She has appeared most recently in Discovery channel Series “Evil Lives Here.”
Celeste has appeared in local theater productions for 30 years in shows including Grease, Steel Magnolias, Lost in Yonkers, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Original One Act Plays, Casualties of Love, Cracking Mother’s Bones, and Leading Ladies. Jon has performed in multiple award winning films Riff and Cleanse Pest, Rest and Rise and Shine and multiple television productions. He has also appeared in multiple stage productions throughout the New York New Jersey region including The Producer’s Club, The Grove Street and the Rhino Theatre performing in A Sketch of New York, Free, Selling God, Sorry Shakespeare, and Terminal.

Rocco Spoon, jr
Actor
Rocco Spoon Jr is a member of SAG/AFTRA and has a lust for the silver screen, but his true love is for the stage. Some of his favorite roles include BRUCE in “Beyond Therapy” , KENNY NEWQUIST in “Little Murders” and his most challenging role as JOSEPH MERRICK in “The Elephant Man”. Rocco keeps himself quite busy with BG work on TV/Film projects. He also is a professional Stand-In and body double for principal actors such as Paul Rudd, Oscar Isaac, Jeremy Strong and even Bruce Springsteen! When he is not following his passion, he works as YOUR FAVORITE REALTOR throughout New Jersey!

Sarah Gorden (EMC) is a NYC based Producer, Director, and Actor. Her favorite roles include Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire and Cass in Wonder of the World, but was most recently seen as Romeo in an all female production of Romeo and Juliet. Her most recent appearance in the short film, Sit with Fear, premiered at LA Shorts International Film Festival in July. Sarah will be directing her first full length play, Tin Cat Shoes by Trish Harnetiaux, at Nutley Little Theatre this spring. She directed several other one acts with her company, Drawing Cats Productions. When not performing, Sarah works as a Company Administrator for Luna Stage in New Jersey and scours new publications for the perfect audition monologues, which she shares on her TikTok. She is also pursuing a graduate certification in Theatre for Diversity and Social Change from Montclair State. Alexis has been recently been part of shows at Apricot Sky Productions (The Last Pastrami Sandwich), Teaneck New Theater (The Farnsworth Invention), WHATCo (Bridesmaid Murder), and Studio Playhouse (Miracle on 34th Street, Princess Superhero Tales, Stuart Little, and others).. She has also studied, taught, and performed improv in NJ and NYC at theaters including Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the Magnet, and The PIT, and with Montclair Improv Comedy. She is grateful to her wonderful family, including her two daughters who allow her to miss bedtime for rehearsals.

Cindy Rea was so happy to be working with Apricot Sky for the first time as Mrs. Potter in Tears for Lunch! She has been nominated by NJACT for Best Actress in a Play for Theda Blau in It Had to be You, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias and she won for portraying Willa Mae Wilcox in A Bad Year for Tomatoes. A few of her favorite roles have been Ida in The Cemetery Club, Dinah in The Dixie Swim Club, Dorothy in The Golden Girls Murder Mystery, Aunt Abby in Arsenic and Old Lace, Dottie/Mrs. Clackett in Noises Off and Doris in Same Time, Next Year.

Lisa is a playwright, fiction writer, journalist, and actress. She has wanted to be a writer since she was 6 years old. She has a degree in English-Writing from William Paterson University and has written various short stories, poems, monologues and one act plays. She has acted in a few student films, has done background work for TV, and has performed at various community theaters in NJ. Lisa also freelance writes for The Montclair Local. By day, Lisa works FT as an Accounts Payable Coordinator for a board of education office in Bergen County.

Kristin Barber-Furlong is thrilled to be a member of Apricot Sky Productions! She has worked at many area theaters including Westfield Community Players, Chatham Playhouse, Circle Playhouse, Villagers, Playhouse 22, Nutley Little Theater, Summit Playhouse, and Old Library Theater. Some of Kristin’s credits include Proof, The Children’s Hour, Barefoot in the Park, Steel Magnolias, Extremities , Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jersey Voices, The House of Blue Leaves, Rope, Light Up The Sky, and The Watseka Wonder. Kristin studied at Montclair State University, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Weist-Barron School of Film and Television. She is a former talent agent and coaches children and teens in the areas of film, TV, and theater. By day, Kristin is a high school teacher.

Favorite roles include Lenny Ganz in Rumors (Pax Amicus), Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic & Old Lace (Somerset Valley Playhouse), Harry Roat in Wait Until Dark (Trilogy Repertory), Col Nathan Jessup (Bethlehem Theatre) and Antonio in Twelfth Night (Trilogy Repertory). Film credits include George Schaffer in AJ Epyx Productions independent feature film, 'Dishonorable Vendetta'.

Heather has been with Apricot Sky since 2001 when she was the stage manager for "Ribbons", a chairty show to benefit the families of the 9/11 tragedies. Heather is no stranger to the stage. She has been in many productions throughout New Jersey since 1992. Some of her favorite productions were "Annie Get Your Gun" as Dolly, "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Seussical," and "Crazy For You." When not on stage or working in productions, Heather enjoys being a principal of Assumption Elementary School in Wood-Ridge.

Anthony is delighted to be a member of Apricot Sky Productions, after appearing in the one-act play Jimmy The Bully...All Grown Up at the Grove Street Theatre. After taking a long hiatus from community theatre to due other corporate career committments, he is excited to display his passion for acting. He has been a career business consultant for over 15 years and looks forward to reigniting his artistic talents.

Maura became a member of Apricot Sky after appearing in their last two productions: “Flush” and “Language of Love”. She is looking forward to becoming even more heavily involved in future Apricot Sky productions. Maura holds a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and currently works as a project manager for a global public accounting firm.
